Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur IL on the 23rd July 1971. LeAnn Kymes and she were among the youngest winners of the Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. Alison Maria Krauss began her career in music as a child she was winning competitions in her local area at the age of 10. Her first recording was her first album at 14. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first solo album in 1987. She was invited to join the band whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album in the group in 1989.
